On February 27, 2025, Vasily Yuryevich Shimco (SHIMCO GROUP, SpetsPozhTeсh) and Ramis Mardanovich Tagiev (SpetsPozhTech) were awarded diplomas as laureates of the National Academy of Fire Safety Sciences (NAFSS) competition in the "Invention" category for their development of "Implementation of Innovative Technologies – a Water-Film Mesh Folding Portable Heat-Protective Screen for Protecting People in a Fire, named after Hero of Russia, Colonel Evgeny Nikolaevich Chernyshev."
The 2024 competition, announced by NAFSB, was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War. The results of the competition were announced in February of this year, with prizes awarded in five categories:
The General Meeting of the National Academy of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection (NANPB) awarded the Sogda Model 1B heat shield in the "Invention" category. The portable, individual, water-film heat shield named after Hero of Russia E.N. Chernyshev is a patented product certified to GOST R59440-2021 and has no equivalent in Russia or abroad.
The heat shield reduces heat flux by at least 50 times, allowing personnel to safely perform rescue and emergency operations. It also allows for close proximity to the source of the fire, if necessary.
The combined properties of water-film heat shields make them suitable for extinguishing fires in buildings and structures, as well as gas and oil gushes
