On June 23, the 51st International Forum "Circulation of Medical Devices in Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union" was held in St. Petersburg.
The forum's central topic was the new rules for registering medical devices in accordance with Government Resolution No. 1684. Participants discussed the most important changes made to Federal Law No. 323 and Russian Ministry of Health Orders No. 885n, No. 11n, and No. 206n. These changes directly affect medical equipment manufacturers and require special attention.
A unique feature of the event was that attendees learned the latest information directly from the authors of the changes—specialists from the All-Russian Research Institute of Medical Equipment (VNIIIMT) and the Research Center of Roszdravnadzor (NIK).
Vladimir Makhov, Vice President of the Management Company "SHIMKO GROUP," delivered a presentation during a session dedicated to the localization of medical device production. The topic was "Inevitability: Localizing Medical Device Production as a Growth Driver and Source of Additional Profit for Manufacturers."
The presentation covered the key stages of the localization process for Khirana+ medical devices. The presentation described how the company created its own assembly line and obtained the necessary permits for production. The focus was on developing its own manufacturing and creating its own IT products
